This piece captures a multilayered sonic deviation through errors and distortions.
The first and fourth strings of the violin and viola—two instruments with similar timbral qualities—are played in an extremely loose tuning. Throughout the entire piece, both instruments avoid traditional playing positions and conventional techniques. The result is a sonic landscape of harsh noises, unexpected timbres, and dissonant harmonies.

Although the violin and viola, through their gestures and occasional tonal similarities, give the impression of following and harmonizing with each other, their individual ranges and distinct sound characters remain unmistakably different.

The world is full of words, yet communication constantly encounters conflict, distortion, and misunderstanding. Political and social issues continuously rise to the surface, unresolved dissonances repeat themselves in the complexity of modern society—and even love ultimately misses its mark.

Rather than pursuing a conventional notion of beauty, this work lays bare discomfort and distortion, leaving errors and deviations in their raw, uncorrected state. Through this approach, the piece distances itself from aesthetic norms we’re accustomed to. It may evoke discomfort, but at the same time it serves as a mirror—reflecting the imperfect and disharmonious reality of our world. In doing so, it seeks to portray that reality more honestly, embracing its flaws and offering a raw, unfiltered perspective.
